LifeYield began as a collaboration between Paul R. Samuelson, Chief Investment Officer and Co-Founder, and his father, Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul A. Samuelson. Both held a long-running interest in tax-smart investing, and after years offering investment and tax-related advice to family and friends, they recognized that neither individual investors nor their advisors could build tax-smart portfolios alone. Technology was required to put these theories into practical use, and in 2008, LifeYield was founded.
Today, LifeYield is used by, and integrates with, some of the biggest names in the industry (including Morgan Stanley, Envestnet, Franklin Templeton, Allianz, Merrill Lynch, SunTrust, New York Life, Jackson National, Personal Capital, and many others). But most importantly, LifeYield is helping thousands of investors, advisors, and firms improve financial outcomes and increase overall tax-efficiency at the household-level.
LifeYield offers industry expertise that has been leveraged by some of the largest financial services companies in the world to acheive better outcomes for their clients, advisors and firms. The advantage suite is available through a SAS Model to independent advisors to provide proposals that outline Advisor Alpha, and quantify the benefit of reducing investment taxes and choosing the correct social security strategy.
LifeYield is the creator of the Taxficient Score which measures the tax efficiency across a house hold with multiple accounts. This has been a break through in discussing investment taxes with clients and used to consolidate assets with a single advisor.
